lead teaching artist in residence & arts curriculum development consultant
As lead teaching artist in residence and arts curriculum development consultant for the Bridge to Build program at the Magic Circle School, I am designing an arts-based curriculum for 5 & 6-year-olds that spans artistic mediums, with a focus on increasing self esteem, creating opportunities for joy and play, and introducing students to the concept of process over product in artmaking. I am also coordinating workshops from guest artists based in and around the Hudson Valley, designing field trips, and creating lesson plans for the theater and visual arts tracks. From June 27-August 5, 2022, I will be teaching and coordinating the program, which will culminate in a public showing of student work on July 28, 2022.
Concurrent with curriculum development for kids, I am also designing and implementing workshops for the teen mentors hired by the Build to Bridge program. These writing, theater, and music workshops are designed to provide each teen with the resources and tools to focus on the art form of their choosing and include guest artist workshops, mentoring sessions, and networking opportunities.

teaching artist: Ugly Comics workshops
I designed a series of Ugly Comics workshops for middle and high school-age students that I taught during EFLI's innovating summer leadership programs for young women. These workshops used writing, drawing, and theater exercises to teach students the value of focusing on process over product, how to trust their creative impulses, and learn about vulnerability through journaling and work-sharing opportunities.
